Meet Coach Borgman

​

     Baseball has been the foundation of Brad Borgman’s life since the age of four. With decades of experience as a player, competitor, mentor, and coach, Brad brings a rare combination of elite-level playing experience, leadership, and player development knowledge to every athlete he works with through Pro Glove Baseball.

     Brad’s baseball journey began in youth baseball and quickly advanced into highly competitive travel baseball, where he competed on elite all-star teams and earned the opportunity to play in the Little League World Series — an experience that helped shape his passion, discipline, and understanding of high-level competition at an early age.

     As a high school player, Brad established himself as one of the top athletes in his area. His performance on the field earned him multiple honors, including All-Area, All-Conference, Team MVP, player of the week multiple times, regional and sectional awards, and Gold Glove recognition for his defensive excellence, work ethic, and leadership. Much of which was documented in the SouthTown Star, Daily SouthTown, Suburban Life and Chicago Tribune papers. 

     Brad continued his baseball career at the collegiate level, where his talent and competitive ability drew the attention of professional organizations. He was scouted by both the Chicago White Sox and the Baltimore Orioles. He also earned the opportunity to try out for former White Sox manager Ozzie Guillén — a significant milestone that reflected the level at which he competed.

     In addition to his college career, Brad competed in semi-professional baseball games against organizations including the Joliet JackHammers and the Lightning, further proving his ability to perform against advanced competition. Following those appearances, he was offered a semi-professional contract. Although he chose not to pursue the professional route, Brad made the decision to dedicate himself to coaching and developing the next generation of players.

     For the past five years, Brad has coached athletes at both the recreational and travel baseball levels, serving as both a head coach and assistant coach while also providing individualized player instruction. His coaching philosophy combines elite-level fundamentals, mental toughness, accountability, and personalized development plans designed to help players maximize their potential both on and off the field.

     Brad’s experience competing at every level — from the Little League World Series, to elite travel baseball, high school honors, college baseball, professional scouting opportunities, and semi-professional competition — gives him a unique ability to connect with players who aspire to play at higher levels of the game.
